Zannier Bãi San Hô

Vietnam

Tucked into a secluded private bay in Vietnam's Dak Lak province, Zannier Bãi San Hô offers an understated retreat in the heart of a protected natural reserve. Surrounded by forested hills, rice paddies and a stretch of untouched coastline, this is a place for those seeking authenticity and quiet far from the well-trodden path. The resort comprises 73 villas designed to reflect the architectural traditions of three distinct Vietnamese cultures, each blending discreetly into the surrounding landscape. Days here unfold at your own pace, whether snorkelling coral reefs, exploring 11th-century Cham ruins, or dining aboard a longboat with local fishermen. This secluded hideaway is the perfect addition to any luxury holiday in Vietnam.

Accommodation

The 73 villas at Zannier Bãi San Hô are designed according to three architectural styles, each drawing on Vietnam’s diverse cultural heritage and set carefully within the landscape. Hill Pool Villas and Grand Bay Pool Villas take inspiration from the Ede communities, positioned on the hills with open views across the bay. Beach Pool Villas, influenced by Cham design, sit directly on the shoreline, while the Beachview and Greenfield Terrace Villas are built on stilts, overlooking rice paddies or the surrounding vegetation in the style of traditional rural homes. Across all categories, interiors are generous and pared back, with open-plan living spaces, freestanding bathtubs and private terraces. Many villas include private plunge pools. The Grand Bay Pool Villas, set across two levels, feature three or four bedrooms, with expansive living areas and private pools, making them well suited to families or those travelling together.

Food & Drink

The property is home to three dining venues, each reflecting a different aspect of Vietnamese cooking. At Bà Hai, set within a traditional stilted structure overlooking the rice fields, dishes follow traditional family recipes and are served as set menus drawing on flavours from across the country. Làng Chài sits directly on the beach, where locally caught seafood is grilled over open flame in fisherman-style thatched huts, alongside a pizza oven, ice cream parlour and relaxed beach bar. Nhà Ở, the main restaurant, offers all-day dining with panoramic hilltop views, from an extensive breakfast spread of both Vietnamese and international dishes to a menu that moves between Southeast Asian flavours and more familiar classics.

Activities

A range of cultural and outdoor experiences are available both on land and water. Guests can learn traditional fishing techniques, explore nearby villages, salt farms and markets with a guide, or take to the water by catamaran, windsurf or kayak. Snorkelling is possible directly off the beach, where coral reefs lie just offshore, while paddleboarding and e-foil experiences offer a more active way to explore the bay. On land, there are tennis and padel courts, a yoga studio and a well-equipped fitness centre, alongside informal beach games. Walking trails lead into the surrounding hills, with quieter corners of the peninsula suited to picnics or time spent away from the main areas of the resort.

Children

Families are well-catered for, with a dedicated kids’ club open from 7am to 9pm daily. Facilities include indoor and outdoor play areas, hammocks, board games, a small library and ping-pong tables, all overseen by an experienced and friendly team. These facilities make the property an excellent choice for a luxury family holiday in Vietnam.
